London Film & Comic Con Goes Back to the Future Once Again With Tom Wilson

Posted Jan 18 2017

London Film & Comic Con (LFCC) has a strong tradition when it comes to celebrating Back to the Future — one of cinema’s greatest trilogies ever.  This tradition continues in 2017 when LFCC welcomes Tom Wilson — who played the ever-present bully of the series ‘Biff Tannen’ — for his first ever appearance at a UK comic-con.

LFCC marked Back to the Future's 30th Anniversary back in 2015 with an amazing reunion with some of the cast, including Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown) and Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) making his first comic-con appearance, along with many other cast members joining them.

This year, LFCC plans to continue the anniversary celebration July 28-30 with Tom Wilson, who will be appearing all three days and taking part in autographs, photo shoots and a talk.

Voted by the readers of USA Today as the Number One movie bad guy of all time, Wilson burst into the movies as the now iconic bully “Biff,” his grandson “Griff,” and even his own great grandfather, gunslinger Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen, in the Back to the Future trilogy, for which he won the Saturn Award for best supporting actor. He’s also known for iconic roles in Freaks and Geeks, as Coach Fredericks, Wing Commander, as Todd “Maniac” Marshall, Arch Cummings in the now classic horror spoof April Fool’s Day, Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous, and even many roles in “SpongeBob Squarepants.” Decades of work as an actor include roles in films like The Heat, The Informant, Andersonville, Blood In, Blood Out, Action Jackson, and many more, as well as hundreds of TV appearances from “Knight Rider” and “The Facts Of Life” in the beginning, all the way to “Ghost Whisperer,” “Workaholics,” “Training Day,” “Doubt,” and most recently “The MeltDown Show” on Comedy Central.

In addition to extensive voice-over work, Wilson has performed standup comedy in theatres around the world and has appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, in his own comedy special “Bigger Than You,” and on talk shows and comedy specials across the US, the UK, Australia, and Canada.
