NEW ORLEANS – Tom Wilson, who portrayed notorious bully "Biff Tannen" in the Back to the Future trilogy, will make his first fan convention appearance in nearly 15 years when he attends Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans, Saturday and Sunday, January 7-8, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Wilson, a character actor, writer and comedian with more than 100 film and TV credits, will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for solo and dual photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A with fellow BTTF star Christopher Lloyd.
Voted by the readers of USA Today as the Number One movie bad guy of all time, Wilson burst into the movies as the now iconic bully “Biff,” his grandson “Griff,” and even his own great grandfather, gunslinger Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen, in the BTTF trilogy, for which he won the Saturn Award for best supporting actor. He’s also known for iconic roles in Freaks and Geeks, as Coach Fredericks, Wing Commander, as Todd “Maniac” Marshall, Arch Cummings in the now classic horror spoof April Fool’s Day, Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous, and even many roles in “SpongeBob Squarepants.” Decades of work as an actor include roles in films like The Heat, The Informant, Andersonville, Blood In, Blood Out, Action Jackson, and many more, as well as hundreds of TV appearances from “Knight Rider” and “The Facts Of Life” in the beginning, all the way to “Ghost Whisperer,” “Workaholics,” “Training Day,” “Doubt,” and “The MeltDown Show” on Comedy Central most recently.
In addition to extensive voice-over work, Wilson has performed standup comedy in theatres around the world and has appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, in his own comedy special “Bigger Than You,” and on talk shows and comedy specials across the U.S.A., the U.K., Australia, and Canada.
He joins an all-star lineup at Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans which already includes Carrie Fisher (Star Wars), Tom Felton (Harry Potter franchise), Stephen Amell (“Arrow”), WWE® Superstar Batista™ (Dave Bautista), WWE® Superstar Finn Bálor™, Michael Cudlitz (“The Walking Dead”), Nichelle Nichols (“Star Trek”), David Ramsey (“Arrow”) and others.
